Ferries
Channel routes & operators

These days, ferry operators come and go more ofen than those dodgy kitchen gadget sellers on Oxford Street, so we no longer maintain the list of routes & operators. The following sites are a good starting point - it's always worth checking prices on the ferry operator's web site as online bargains may be available.

FerrySavers [ferrysavers.com] offers an on line enquiry & booking facility for all routes. Despite the implication in the name, FerrySavers doesn't appear to offer dramatically better fares than direct booking via the operator but you can at least compare routes and fares.

Direct Ferries [directferries.com] offers a very similar service.

Great Escapes [greatescapes.co.uk] offers packaged self-drive 'holidays' including one night stop at a budget hotel which are in fact cheaper than the ferry or shuttle by itself. For example a crossing including one night's accommodation would cost £206 by shuttle, £192 by ferry and £158 via seacat.

Their web has an on-line booking facilty, otherwiise call them on 0800 731 2929 to make a booking.
